News from Unity

Unity has continued to develop our focus since the beginning of the year on providing a proactive all encompassing service to our clients old and new. This is an exciting time for Unity with ever emerging changes in occupational health and wellbeing.

We are nearing completion of our new website which will be launched on Thursday 31st March 2016

www.unityoccupationalhealth.com

This is the final change to be made to the development of Unity and we hope that you all like it. The website has been a long time in the preparation and will continue to evolve over the coming months with a dedicated client section full of useful resources. We welcome your feedback on the website and any improvements that you think we could make.

Unity has also changed our email addresses as follows:

mail@unityoccupationalhealth.com (Diane — Client Liaison) rachel@unityoccupationalhealth.com  (Rachel — Operations Manager)

We are in the final stages of reviewing all of our health questionnaires in line with the current legislation. We are conscious that they need to be  as streamlined as possible to aid the completion but also gain the information required to make the appropriate assessment.

We are currently reviewing HSE legislation and developing new services  in line with their new guidance and statutory changes. One of the new services which came on line in January was the screening for workers exposed to Respirable Crystalline Silica. This has been successfully rolled out to our first client. If you would like further details you can either look at the news links on our new website or contact Rachel Brown for more information. We will keep you updated in our Newsletters on the other new services when they become available.

As part of our commitment to wellbeing, we will be running a campaign with all of our clients during the month of May to turn it purple for Stroke Awareness (see the article overleaf). This will be the first of many such activities that throughout the year, we will raise awareness of major health issues.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for endorsing our working partnership to date.

Julie Lawrence—Director
